Kentucky Youth-Led Lawsuit Supported by Y-Lab Clinic and Faculty

January 29, 2025 by Margo Strucker

Y-Lab Faculty Director, Michael Gregory, along with HLS students in the TLPI/Education Law Strategic Litigation Clinic researched and helped develop litigation alongside the Kentucky Student Voice Team (KSVT), a youth-led coalition. Gregory also developed the litigation with the Center for Education Equity (CEE) at Teacher’s College of Columbia University. As a result, Kentucky youth filed a novel lawsuit on Jan. 14, 2025, against the Commonwealth of Kentucky demanding a quality public education for all young people in the state. Learn more on the KSVT website here.
